Milk and meat

When I was growing up, some people (albeit with not much of an digestive system to boast of) had always tried to discourage me from having meat and milk in the same meal. They had always insisted that the combination isn't the most easily digestible. I could never find out why, since I had never found one disagreeing with the other as far as I'm concerned. But then, some people are like that: they think they're always correct, and try to impose their views on you. I wish they could keep their views to themselves.

  1. I can share a similar experience with you about table manners. In my previous company once there was a discussion regarding which wine goes best with what type of food and apparently there were claims that red wine must not be ordered with red meat. It will be needless to say that we Indians are very big show offs at times and we often want to pass our judgement over things of which we do not have an iota of clue. And so the ramifications may be fatal sometimes. Now since now I have been living in Europe for almost 2 yrs, my knowledge of Wine and dine are growing over time and so now I know that those so called "tabe manners" or "wine selection guide" are absolutely wrong. So is the case you mentioned, in fact I now live in a county where people even drink milk during lunch and that is often preluded with cold meat. But I am also aware of a Jewish belief (Koscher) where they say there should be sufficient gap between the servings of meat and milk and this is because the fatty residues and meat particles tend to cling to the mouth and hence one need only to rinse one's mouth and eat a neutral solid like bread, unless the dairy product in question is also of a type that tends to stick in the mouth.

  2. Try cooking meat with milk. Turns out to be amazing if u can get it right.

  3. Well,i agree with these people.
Some food groups should not be combined.
You should not have papaya or jamun with milk.
    or take pills with alcohol.
